Busy week, quiet weekend phew!

I've been posting sporadically lately as I have so much on at the moment, so apologies!

I'm currently working on a project, whilst still running my business, whilst doing some temp work to bring in some extra cash so I'm really tired zzzzzzz

In fact today I'm shattered but I don't look as elegant as the lady above, it's 3pm and I'm still in PJs!

I had a proposal to do yesterday so today was rest day but as I'm not someone who doesn't rest easily I decided to do some hand sewing on vintage dresses that need a bit of mending.  I also jazzed up one that was a little too plain so I added a few rhinestones, you can never have too much sparkle in my humble opinion!!

Anyway dear readers I need some advise, mostly from the UK people if possible as it's product related. What do you use to remove stains from vintage clothing? I have a couple of dresses which need sorting I'm currently soaking them but I think I've tried before and it hasn't sorted them. So any advice would be most appreciated!!

Oh I also tried to sort out still broken loo - it's time to get in a plumber! - and before I knew it water was spurting everywhere, quick AND fast, I would have taken a picture but I was too busy trying to turn off the water, I was soaked to the skin.

I would like to think it was as fun as this

but it wasn't......

So apologies for the boring post, I just didn't want you to think I'd fallen off the planet!

Hope you are all well, I'm off for a snooze.....

I swear by Wizz Oxy Ultra Plus from Poundland. It comes in a white tub and it absolutely brilliant.
Go and have a nice nap. I'm giggling at your burst loo, I shouldn't but the little piggy is too cute. xxx

Oooo I'm having major plumbing problems too, so I feel your pain!

This house has always had major issues, and after getting the whole works redone to the tune of $5,000 US, (3,083.76 Pounds), about 15 years ago, the same problems cropped up a few years later.

The latest plumber said I'd have to have the whole works redone again. I'm not convinced, so will be getting more opinions!

Hope you get the answers to your stain removal questions!

I use laundry soda, you find it with the soda crystals in the supermarket- it comes in a tub.

baking soda is good for stains and Vanish too.
for the clog toilet try using baking soda with white vinegar and hot water, if its too clogged try a snake.
porky pig is my fave character, so cute.
go rest amor!

Hope you plumbing gets sorted, I usually try oxy clean but it depends on the fabric cause I have had it burn holes in some fabrics.

I like stain devils...they have all sorts of different ones for different stains/different fabrics that come in little bottles that you dab on. Good luck! :))

I can relate about the plumbing issues! The main valve coming into my house has a slow leak and according to the husband, we need a d06f pressure reducing valve! We have a pot catching water under the pipe right now and since is Sunday, none of the plumbing shops are open. So, we have to wait. I hope your get your plumbing issues sorted fast too!

I use vanish, but if it is particularly stubborn sometimes I also rub with laundry soap after a soak x

Try straight lemon juice, it doesn't work for everything but is worth a try.

Don't apologize, Missus. I'm glad to know you're still alive and kicking in the world. That's enough for me. Hugs and love from Chicago...
