Far away....

Sorry I've been missing in action this last few days. I've got stuff going on which doesn't necessarily make me feel filled with joy which after all is my normal state of mind. It means that I don't really feel up to blogging, which is a shame cos blogging makes me happy!

I did mention something looked like it was a light at the end of the tunnel sadly that light went out but I'm looking for another one!!

Meantime the thing that cheers me up is looking at pretty things on ebay and etsy, sadly I can't afford them, but I still like looking at pretty things!

I spotted these fabulous cocktail trays on ebay, I have some exactly like them but just in case someone is looking for something like this I thought I'd pop them up. I know how you all love my cocktail accessories!!

Then remember I told you about the fantastic Devils head ornament I broke at Christmas and I was gutted. Well I found these on ebay. I'm too broke to bid for them right now but it's good to know that these are out there. They are not as fab as the one I had but still I like them, although I do acknowledge they are not everyones 'cup of tea' for christmas ornaments!

Next up is cocktail related again, I know what is with me but honestly if I had the cash and space this fabulous ice bucket would be MINE!!

Sorry I'm being so vague  I don't mean to be enigmatic, just trying to explain my absence, but don't worry I'll be able to spare the capacity in my brain soon!! I do hope you're all well!

Hope you feel better about things soon. One of the things I draw strength in from vintage finds is sense of continuity, that life goes one and sometimes there are devil heads and ice buckets :)to make it easier to find a smile

I love those cocktail trays! Especially the one to the left...reminds me of Jonathan Harris from Lost in Space for some reason. Reach for that cherry!

I'm sorry things are going to plan.
I've loved your last few comments over on mine. Your bathroom is a work of art and a joy to behold and I'm thrilled to find someone else who doesn't conform to the typical female stereotype.
I'm beginning to think that blogging is a way of meeting kindred spririts who, without the internet, we'd never have met and we would forever be known as the office weirdo.
Your picks are glorious. I'm not one for Xmas but even this Scrooge would be converted with those devil faces.
Hope things start looking up for you soon, Fiona! xxx

aw thanks all!

Yes Vix I agree, I've often been the weirdo for my likes & dislikes, nice to know we're not alone!!

Sorry to hear that Fiona. I know things will get better soon. I love those ornaments...I've been chasing similar ones for ages and always got outbid. Sadly, I don't have the dosh for these either but as you say, it's nice to know they're out there.
Who wants to be viewed as 'normal' when being a weirdo is so much more fun?!xxx

Oh hun, I hope things get better for you soon. It does help to look at pretty things when you are feeling down and want to switch off your brain for a bit, those devil ornaments are just to my taste and I adore the ice bucket xx

I totally agree with La Dama - one door closes, another one opens. You do seem like a 'glass half full' person too, which always helps too of course, so whatever is going on, I really hope it works out for you soon.
I also love the devil ornaments too - I have glitter skulls at Xmas, so these devils would be fabulolous!

awww sorry to hear the light went out!

I used to have my art Studio all decked out in skeletons and animal skulls and such. So I like the ornaments!

Don't worry about blog posts, we all have times when either we don't know what to post or other things are going on. Having a bit of "dark tunnel" time myself right now, so I haven't been blogging as much either =)

Big hugs...I'm just adding some tuppences to your light at the end on the tunnel meter...hopefully it should pop itself back on again soon. In the meantime, we don't have to be supercopers all the time, sometimes its absolutely the best idea to give in to it all, grab some chocolate and a b&w matinee movie and wait for things to pass.

Btw I LOVE that ice bucket - it's fantastic!

Glad to see you're feeling a bit better from your newer posts. xx
