Whoo hoo!

I'm on a roll! I didn't tell anyone last week but I started Weight watchers last week and today was my first day of weighing in. I have had a lifetime of struggles with my weight, I'm one of those people who looks at chocolate and I'm 10lbs heavier! It drives me insane, but still it's who I am so I just gotta work with it.

Anyway I lost an incredible 5lbs in my first week, I rarely lose this much weight when cutting back but I think this is more an indication of how indulgent I've been lately than how well I'm doing he he!

My initial aim is to get to this weight

This is me with my lovely friend Ellie at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. I want to get to this weight cos I want to get back in this!!

I think it's my favourite dress of all time, gold lame, wow!  I also don't need to be a skinny minnie to get in it.

Then my next aim down the line is this so I can wear these dresses!!

As you can tell I'm not built slim but I'm happy at that weight and I can get into nice clothes, so I just have to be sensible about what's within my normal weight range, I can't starve myself, how on earth do people do that, and more to the point why?!!

So there won't be any posts of cocktails or huevos rancheros or risottos for a while, this lady is determined!! Although I'm under no false illusions it will be easy, or plain sailing and I've already said when we do events, I just have to forget about weight watchers, you eat what you can get in those situations!!

This is how impressive I've been I only had 1/2 bottle of wine ALL WEEK! Yes all week!

I'm off to a good start so wish me luck!

Rock on! You're beautiful at any weight and good for you for doing what makes me you feel good. That gold lame dress sure looks like a great goal (uh, in the meantime did you want me to take care of it for you?)

I am so with you. I'm trying to get control of my eating with another group. And your blog has come at a time when I needed a reminder. Contrats and good luck.

Sometimes I read your blog and think "She is me", well except, you are cuter! I started a program on Saturday myself. Down 4!!!!!!!
My inspiration was wanting to make my own vintage clothes, but I required way too much fabric! WE CAN DO THIS!

Well, my glorious zaftig goddess, you have now shamed me into at least THINKING about going on a diet. I've never done WW, although I've been a sparkling failure at every other diet created since 1950 (the year I was born). Now I'm nearly 61 and don't know if it's possible to lose the weight I desperately need to shed. But hey, what the heck--why not go for it?! Good luck to you, and hopefully you'll be wishing ME good luck soon, too!!!!

Well done! Weight is one of those really tricky issues..its so easy to put on, and so damned hard to get off! I've been everything from an 8 (too thin for me)to a 16 (too big for me) and everything imbetween over the last 10 years. I feel happiest as I am now as a 10-12 but I have to really watch what I eat and run a lot to stay like this. Its hard work but worth it..even just to get back in your amazing dress collection! Good luck :))

Well done on the weight loss. I have been thinking of going that route myself as I am rather more short and stout than I would like and also have a closet ful of dress that I still love but don't have a hope of getting into. this past 10 days I did lose 5 pound put due to a terrible flu and am now still not totally recovered. Thanks for the incentive to get off my but and do something about my weight.

Oh good luck Fi, it is boring but those dresses are worth it. I really need to start exercising, I hate it so much but can feel the pounds creeping on. I've already burst out of a few dresses that used to fit fine, bah xx

I lost 2 and half stone on Weight watchers it really is in my eyes the only sensible way to lose weight. I always use to lose those extra couple of pounds gained over winter. Keep up the good work :D
